Lyrics
Many milesDriving many miles, headed towards the rain. Smiling all the while, brushing off the pain. Wheels keep turning. Lightning falls from the sky. It heals by burning, still you wonder, wonder why. Running many miles, in the eye of the storm. It's calm for a while, sometimes it's even warm. Alive and kickin', with one foot on the ground. I'm playing chicken, with tornadoes all around!
It's slippery and wet, dancing on the edge of a dream. It's crazy and yet, it suits me best it seems. Come hail, come snow, come what dare may. Come many miles, just to be here today!
Walking many miles, through the still ion air. Rain's been gone a while, but the smell is still there. A fresh day is calling, as the sun sets in the west. A new dream is falling, and cries out for your best. Crawling many miles, feeling rough and bruised. Climbing over piles, of hearts hurt and used. Alive and kickin', on all fours on the ground. Daring to play chicken, with tornadoes all around!
It's dry and cracked, this land inside our minds. What our desert lacks, only we can find. Come sun, come flame, come what dare may. I've come many miles, just to fight another day!
