How hard can it be? They are just words...

Lyrics

Two dogs meet me at the gate.

The brick sidewalk wet from the dew.

It's early morning or just plain late.

It all depends on your point of view.

The moon is setting down in the west.

But this much light will suffice.

I went out and gave away my best.

But getting home to you sure is nice.

I've been out playing mixing words into melodies.

I've been out saying things I think are true.

I've been out of my mind and in a separate reality.

But it sure is good, to get home to you!

The wind chimes jingle in the breeze.

While all around the night air is quiet.

Those random tones fall into the moment they seize.

And just me and the dogs are there to hear it.

A black cat is walking towards me.

No worries and nothing to do.

And the peace of the night falls around me.

And getting home to you sure is nice.

And no matter where I go, or what it is I try to see.

And no matter what I try, or have to do.

Even when I'm out of my mind and in a separate reality.

But it sure is good, to get home to you!
