Lyrics
Avearage manSome people don't fit in a mold, and I'm a mold breaker. Not everyone does as their told, and I'm a bad order taker. I thought I could be a soldier, till I found out what it's all about. I didn't like that weight on my shoulders, so I just got out. I'm not a rebel without a cause, and there are things I don't understand. And I know I have my flaws, but I don't want to be an average man. Average man, that implies so little difference. Average man, I don't think it's a coincidence. Average man, is that the price to live in the present tense? Average man, to me it sounds like a life sentence. I don't care if I'm well known, and I don' care if I'm rich. There are lots of monuments overgrown, and lots of money ends up in the ditch. There aren't too many things that I know for sure, and I'm not sure about those. But I try to lead a life that's pure, and not make too many foes. I look at what lies ahead, and take lessons from the past. And there's something in the back of my head, that tells me we better move fast. Average man, that implies so little difference. Average man, I don't think it's a coincidence. Average man, is that the price to live in the present tense? Average man, to me it sounds like a life sentence. I think we're coming to a serious time, in the days to come. I'm afraid it's not all in my mind, and something will have to be done. I don't ride on a high horse, and I don't hold my nose in the air. But I think when it runs it's course, the future is theirs who dare. And it has crossed my dreams, that we all have to do what we can, But then it also seems, that I'm just an average man. Average man, that implies so little difference. Average man, I don't think it's a coincidence. Average man, is that the price to live in the present tense? Average man, to me it sounds like a life sentence.
